Ross Xpression Integration
1. 
Open Xpression’s Layout Mode and create a new scene
2Add a quad to the scene and apply a material with your Vixi Live background



3. Add a second quad to the scene and create a Live Source material
    a. To create a Live Source Material, open the layers drop-down menu in the material editor
    b. Select Live Source in the layers drop-down menu
    c. Set the Input Source field to the SDI input in use



4. Apply the newly created live source material to second quad



5. Create a Mask Material to hide the unneeded black part of the screen
    a. To create a mask material, open the material editor
    b. Set the Blending Mode field to Alpha Mask



6. Create quads that cover the unneeded black space and apply the mask materials to them



7. In the Object Manager, add a Layer Object and make the Live source quad and the mask quads children of the Layer Object


8. Scale the newly masked video feed to fit within the bounds of your background



OBS Integration
1. Open the OBS program, the default startup scene should be blank

    a. If you have an existing scene already setup, create a new one by selecting the + Button in the bottom left corner of the screen in the Scene Section and name the scene appropriately

2. Add your Vixi Live background to the scene

    a. Find the Sources subwindow within OBS. To Add a new source, click the + Button in the bottom left hand corner



    b. If the background is a video file, select Media Source

    c. If the background is an image file, select Image

    d. After selecting the source type, a new prompt will appear with the option to name the source. Enter a name and hit OK



    e. In the next window, click the Browse Button to locate your desired file on your computer. Then click Open to add it to the scene



    f. If adding a video file, check the Loop box after locating the file



3. Repeat Step 2 to add a QR code to the scene



4. Add your Output Link to the scene

    a. Return to Vixi Live Portal

    b. Navigate to your Output Link

    c. Copy the Downlink URL using the Copy Button

    d. Reopen OBS, and add a new source to the scene by clicking the + Button in the Sources Sub Window

    e. In the source menu, select Browser



    f. Name the source in the following prompt and hit OK

    g. Paste the previously copied Downlink URL into the URL field in the following window



5. Make the scene full screen

    a. Right click on the scene, chose Full Screen Projector (Preview), then the select name of your monitor



Switcher Integration

1. If you prefer not to composite your Downlink video feed and background graphics using Xpression or OBS, you also have the option to composite the sources using a video switcher

2. First, route your Downlink video as a source to your switcher

3. Assign the new source to a key

4. Next, import your graphic background as a still

5. Key your Downlink video source over the still

6. Crop and position the keyed source so it fits appropriately within the bounds of your graphic Refer to the step by-step videos below for further instruction based on your specific switcher:
